Les Mills - BodyPump

BodyPump™ is THE ORIGINAL BARBELL CLASS™, the ideal workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned & fit - fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BodyPump™ gives you a total body workout. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically-backed moves & techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation & great music helping you achieve much more than on your own! Les Mills - CXWorx

Exercising muscles around the core, CXWORX™ provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body. A stronger core makes you better at all things you do, from everyday life to your favorite sports - it's the glue that holds everything together. All the moves in CXWORX™ have options, so it's challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. Trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes & weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches & hovers. You will also get into some hip, butt & lower back exercises.

Who is this Les Mills guy, and what did he do to deserve all this attention?

A four-time Olympian, Mills opened his first gym in Auckland, New Zealand in 1968. His goal was simple - to offer basic strength and cardio training to athletes looking to refine their physical workouts. A few years later, as guided aerobic exercise videos exploded in popularity in the 1980's, Mills' son, Phillip Mills took notice. Together with his wife Jackie - a doctor and former gymnast - Phillip developed a series of workouts to maximize the benefits of aerobic exercise. 

In 1990, with the introduction of weights, a whole new phenomenon - BODYPUMP - was born, capturing the attention of dedicated workout enthusiasts. From there, the Les Mills program grew to encompass many exercise formats from yoga and dance, to HIIT, cycling, martial arts, and more. Today, the Les Mills fitness program is still going strong, fusing music, movement, science and the latest exercise trends into a popular series of readily accessible workout classes.

What to expect from Les Mills classes at ClubFitness

Most Les Mills classes at ClubFitness last one hour and include a 5-minute warm-up period at the start of class, as well as, a cool-down period of the same duration at the conclusion. Instructors monitor participants for proper technique and may offer corrective suggestions as necessary. Let your instructor know prior to the start of class of any limitations, injuries, or other physical hindrances. 

Be sure to bring a refillable water bottle and wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing with closed-toe, athletic shoes.

ClubFitness not only offers the best Les Mills classes in the area, but many other options for all levels of fitness. Our team of world class instructors works hard to offer classes that not only challenge you, but make working hard fun. Each class is designed to hit specific muscle groups so as you continue to advance in your fitness journey, we have classes tailored to fit your needs at all levels. 

Abs 30 - (All Levels) 30 mins of core strengthening. The core muscles, which work as stabilizers for the entire body, are located deep within the trunk, extending from the base of the head to the pelvis.

Barre - An interval-based, low impact freestyle class that utilizes the principles of ballet & Pilates. This class is taught on the floor & at the ballet barre, however this is NOT a ballet class. This class will incorporate challenging isometric movements that concentrate on core strength, balance, & lengthening.

Bootcamp Circuits - (All Levels) 45-minute athletic bootcamp inspired class, combines cardio training with body weight exercises & full strength conditioning.

Cardio Circuits/HIIT FIT - (Intermediate/Advanced) 60 min freestyle HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) class with interval sets from 15-60 seconds in length & recovery. Core & weight conditioning included. Raise your metabolic rate! **HIIT FIT includes 20 mins of core conditioning at the end of class.**

Drums Alive® - Drums Alive combines movement with the powerful beat & rhythms of drumming for an amazing brain & body workout!

Flexible Strength - (Intermediate/Advanced) Athletic mind-body class focuses on deep stretching mixed with yoga vinyasas & deep holds. Foam rollers, yoga blocks, tennis balls, and yoga straps may be used. Taught in increments of 30, 45, & 60 minutes. 

Foam Roller & Stretch - (All Levels) A class full of stretching and foam rolling, a great addition to any class. Members perform self-myofascial release using the foam roller and tennis ball to reduce muscular stiffness, improve flexibility, and speed recovery.

Freestyle Step - (Intermediate/Advanced) Turn, step, repeat...This cardiovascular class exercises on or around the adjustable step platform.

HardCore - (All Levels) This 45-minute freestyle class focuses on cardio and core. This challenging workout includes low-impact combinations intervaled with core strength exercises using the stability ball, weights, & tubing.

Kickboxing Cardio - (All Levels) Freestlye class combining kickboxing techniques with fast-paced cardio and athletic drills, alternating 10 min kickboxing combinations with 10 min weight training intervals. Participants will build stamina, improve coordination, and burn calories. Taught in increments of 30 or 60 minutes.

Low Impact - (Beginner/Intermediate) Choose from a variety of Low Impact classes (Low Impact Abs, Low Impact Lite, Low Impact 30, & Low Impact Sculpt) at both locations. A grapevine back to the 90's...fun and energetic low impact cardio combinations to improve your cardiovascular health! Combinations progress & are set to 32 counts.

Muscles - (All Levels) This fast moving, freestyle, weight conditioning class uses dumbbells, resistance tubing, gliders, and bars to strengthen and condition the body. Taught in increments of 30 or 60 minutes.

Pilates Strength - (All Levels) A 30-minute Pilates core & strengthening class. 

Senior Fitness - This is a fitness class for our seniors! Seated/standing cardio & strength training set to music you will love. 

Spin - (All Levels) Athletic, challenging cardiovascular indoor cycling workout set to music. Participants ride stationary bikes, adding resistance on the Flywheel to stimulate terrain. Classes can be endurance or interval based.

Strong by Zumba® - A 60-minute demanding session that works your entire body by combining body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio & piyo moves synced with original music.

SWEAT - (Intermediate/Advanced) A freestyle, hour long, interval based (cardio/weight) training class. Interval durations differ throughout the class. Equipment used: step, free weights, resistance tubing, gliders, bars. Be prepared to sweat!

Tai Chi - (All Levels) A martial-arts based class incorporating relaxation & meditation. A great class focusing on mind & body awareness improving energy levels, flexibility, balance, agility & core strength.

Triple Threat - (All Levels) This freestyle class combines 20 min cardio, 20 min resistance strength training, and 20 min core workouts for a solid 60 min full body workout!

Zumba® - (All Levels) Energetic dance class set to high-energy Latin & International beats. 

Zumba® Gold - (Beginner) Modified Zumba® moves for a lower-intensity workout, designed for easy-to-follow choreography.
