Mah Jongg in Greensboro, NC

The Club Fitness Oak Branch location offers Mah Jongg Open Play sessions for players of all skill levels and features both standard and automatic Mah Jongg tables. All are welcome regardless of membership!

Open Play for Every Skill Level

Open Play is a chance to practice your skills, meet other players, and enjoy friendly games. All experience levels are welcome, from longtime players to those who have recently completed one of our lessons.

Open Play Cost:

  • Free for Club Fitness members
  • $10 for non-members

Open Play Schedule:

  • 1st & 3rd Thursday: 6:30–8:30 PM
  • 2nd & 4th Tuesday: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

All participants must register in advance. Members should reserve a free pass before registering for their preferred session. Non-members must purchase the appropriate Open Play pass before registering.

Learn to Play Mah Jongg

New to Mah Jongg? Our instructors offer lessons and guided play to help you learn the rules. Lessons are two hours long and cost $5 for members and $10 for non-members. You'll learn about:

  • Mah Jongg tiles and tables
  • Standard Mah Jongg rules from the National Mah Jongg League
  • Basic strategy and gameplay
  • Game etiquette and scoring

Automatic Mah Jongg Tables

Automatic Mah Jongg tables automatically shuffle the tiles and build the walls between games. That means less setup time and more time to play! Club Fitness has four automatic tables available for reservation during Open Play sessions and private appointments.

Automatic Table Reservations During Open Play:

  • $10 per member
  • $20 per non-member
  • Reservation lasts 2 hours
  • Additional hours are $10/hour per person

Private Automatic Table Reservations:

  • $60 per member
  • $100 per non-member
  • Reservation lasts 2 hours
  • Additional hours are $10/hour per person

Mah Jongg is traditionally played with 4 players per table. However, we can accommodate up to 16 players during lessons and Open Play sessions.

Club Fitness has 3 Mah Jongg sets available for Open Play on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a set of your own, we encourage you to bring it when you want to play.
