Ashley graduated from NC State University (Go Pack!!) with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. In 2013 she decided to pursue a career in the fitness industry and attended the National Personal Training Institute in Mesa, Arizona. This allowed her plenty of hands on training and sparked her fascination in studying movement and the human body. After graduating with a diploma in personal training she became an instructor for the same personal training school. At the same time, she spent early morning hours shadowing another seasoned fitness professional who specialized in corrective exercise and proper movement patterns. It was there that she learned about the Functional Movement Screen and became certified in the FMS levels one and two. Her goal is to help people move better, feel better, and enjoy a better quality of life through their fitness journey. She is also passionate about helping people (especially women) find strength and empowerment through learning to push themselves mentally and physically in and out of the gym.
Fun Fact: She enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, reading and loves animals (especially her golden retriever, Bojangles). She also loves being around people and making them laugh or smile and her favorite day of the week is, of course, Taco Tuesday!
